Anti Anxiety Medication - Remeron

Remeron is an older anti-depressant and I hated the side effects which are common with the tri-cyclic anti-depressants.

Ask your doctor about the new Cymbalta; it is the newest anti anxiety medication on the block and it has no side effects and works within one to two weeks! I have seen that happen many times.

Performance Anxiety and Erectile Dysfunction

Can performance anxiety cause erectile dysfunction?

Yes, it has been observed that performance anxiety beyond par for sexual satisfaction or good sexual performance can also cause erectile dysfunction.

If sex is only seen as the accomplishment of penetrative intercourse, and a failure if that doesn't happen, then it can be pretty certain that anxiety related erectile dysfunction will keep on happening.

Anxiety Help - Cause of Separation Anxiety

Cause of Separation Anxiety

How normal is it for my 18 month-old son to suddenly develop intense separation anxiety from mother, even when left with very familiar relatives (including father), even when he can see mom simply stepping away a moment?

This past weekend, I worked Saturday too. Could this be enough to explain the separation anxiety? Or should I look into other possible reasons to try to fix things?

Without knowing your child, but reading your question alone, he sounds absolutely normal! Many people are unaware that separation anxiety happens in two stages. The first bout of separation anxiety typically occurs around 5-8 months of age, the second occurs between 15-18 months of age. It is even normal for the second bout to occur all the way up to the age of 2.5 years old.

Anxiety neurosis represents a psychiatric condition in which emotional distress or unconscious conflict is expressed through various physical, psychological and mental disturbances.

"Everyone has fear. The difference is how we use the fear. Abnormal fear basically begins with normal fear. But then it escalates to the point that it becomes huge. There are usually no logical or reasonable grounds for the level of fear that is being experienced."

My seven-year-old has anxiety attacks when it is lightning and thunderstorms; what is the best way to handle it?

Storms are scary things for kids. Sometimes the news shows horrible storm damage that can really traumatize a kid and lead to anxiety attacks.

I also got books about storms. How they happen and what to do when one does. Sometimes we would pretend that there is a big storm outside and turn out the lights and do what we do if a real one was out there.
