Anti Anxiety Medication and Pregnancy
With my first pregnancy my doctor prescribed anti anxiety medication because I have horrible panic attacks.
I haven�t asked my new doctor yet, but has anyone else experienced this or know someone who has taken them throughout pregnancy?

How to Alleviate Anxiety Attacks?
I have only had four anxiety attacks in my entire life but they are horrible. My body goes into shock and I usually throw up. I can't walk or stand and I�m dizzy. After I throw up I am okay again. Usually there is 3-5 minutes from �point of impact� to effects.
I tried to sit still, go outside, think of pleasing things; nothing works. I am thoroughly convinced it's entirely mental because three out of four of my attacks are dental related. I'm not interested in any pills.
What can I do to alleviate this before it's critical? What helps you?

Alternative Treatment for Social Anxiety Disorder
I have heard of St. Johns Wart. It is supposed to help with anxiety and depression.
I also get up in the morning and make goal sheets. I write down 5-6 things that I want to get done in the day. Sometimes they aren't hard things or social anxiety related, but sometimes they are.
Usually it's things like clean a room, get the laundry done, cook dinner, go shopping, call a friend, invite a friend to lunch, etc.

Anxiety Panic Disorder - Sheer Terror for Victims

Anxiety Disorder and Drug Tests
If someone takes a Xanax for anxiety disorder and then has a drug test four days later, how do they pass?
Standard drug tests for employment and probation purposes only test for cocaine, thc, amphetemines, and opiates.
Xanax does not fall into any of those categories, and if it is prescribed for anxiety disorder, it would not matter anyway.

Anxiety Disorder - Lazy and Tired
Does anxiety disorder cause laziness and tiredness and how do you stop it?
The short answer would be no on the first and yes on the second part. Let me elaborate. It is not exactly that anxiety disorder makes you lazy, but it can paralyze you. Constant fear or even severe worrying may inhibit your motivation to take steps in any direction, because you may fear the outcome of your decisions will make matters worse. One way to avoid that is by not facing the decisions and instead seek idle distraction.
I would suggest that you (or who ever else it is you know who experiences anxiety disorder) should certainly consider seeking professional help. Medication won't be necessary, but can be helpful in certain cases.

I was using Prozac for awhile for anxiety disorder and came off it. Now I have gained weight. Why?

The medicine itself, fluoxetine (prozac), has no withdrawal side effects and no known description of weight gain.

What kinds of therapy are good for anxiety disorder?
It really depends on the root cause of the anxiety disorder, as anxiety can be caused by all sorts of things. For people whose anxiety is purely chemical, pharmacotherapy is usually the way to go, though some do benefit from talk therapies and the like.
For trauma-based anxiety disorder, the best way to treat the anxiety is to process the underlying trauma(s). In dealing with the memories and restructuring cognitive distortions, the anxiety usually disappears as part of the process.
