Anxiety Forums Offering Sharing and Coping Tips

"This was perfect for me," said Susan. "I felt so isolated and once I got logged on to the anxiety forum I learned that there were thousands of people who were just as fearful as I was. Through the anxiety forum, I was able to find the strength within myself to leave my house and begin to live a normal life again."

There are many anxiety forums on the web that allow anxiety sufferers to share coping information and trade information about the best treatments and therapies.

Many forums feature on-line chat rooms. One of the most important elements of the anxiety forums is that you soon realize that you are not alone as you combat anxiety.

The way I avoid speech anxiety is to be convinced about what I am going to say.

If I am just called to speak spontaneously, I think more about my ideas and getting the class to understand them than about me.

Anxiety & Depression More Prevalent Now

Are anxiety, depression and general mood disorders more prevalent now than ever before?

I believe anxiety and depression issues have existed forever but today they are either abused, doctors just throw around the label to give someone something to hang on to, or people self diagnose and give themselves the label of being depressed, anxious, etc.

We all have the capacity to get down now and again but that doesn't mean that we should carry about the label of being depressed.

How to Deal with Anxiety Disorder?

I used to have panic attacks and now I just have anxiety issues, usually always being at night time and I won't be able to sleep; does anyone have these sort of problems and if so how do you get your mind off of it?

I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and am currently taking Zoloft, which has done wonders for my anxiety. Since I dont plan on taking this drug forever, Ive also been in cognitive therapy, which teaches you breathing exercises when you have an anxiety attack.

I would first try the therapy; there are ways to overcome anxiety disorder.

Anxiety Help - Anxiety Attacks During Labor

Anxiety Attacks During Labor

I have not officially been diagnosed with anxiety disorder, but have been known to have an anxiety attack when things get to be too much.

You also go through a bit of a strange sensation when you are in labor where your brain almost goes numb and it is difficult to think about anything. It is difficult to describe, but I think it all has to do with your body dealing with the pain.

I am a few days away from delivering my second child and have been getting nervous playing the waiting game and doing my best to talk myself out of a panic attack (I am the type of person who does not like surprises and likes to have things scheduled and planned and since I have no control over when I go into labor it is quite frustrating).

Anti Anxiety Drug Can Make a Positive Difference

"I couldnt believe this tiny little pill was going to make a positive difference in my anxious life. But it did. In fact, I wish I had asked my doctor about taking an anti anxiety drug years ago."

The danger with medication occurs when the user becomes over dependent on the anti anxiety pill, or when the very thought of forgetting to bring the medication with you triggers a panic attack.

"Many who experience panic attacks fear that a visit to the doctor will only lead to them being told that their condition is far worse than they imagined. There seems to be some misleading information out there that makes some people feel guilty and weak simply for needing an anti anxiety drug to help them get through the day."
